I made these images by taking a sketch drawn in the computer and saving using very low jpeg compression (very highly compressed) then increasing the contrast to 100 and quadrupling the image size while setting the pixel resampling to "nearest neighbor" which has the effect of pixelating the image rather than resampling to greys.
I like how the "interference patterns" have their own logic, echoing the simple lines of the original drawing.
